The Council is doing a heritage review in the ‘flat bit’ of Kensington, City side of the Craigieburn Rail line.  We asked for this and support it.  When complete, heritage dwellings and precincts will be protected.  There is also a second heritage study, this being the urban renewal areas of C190, identifying any buildings that need heritage listing.  Can be a bit confusing.  Good news on this one – the Young Husband building is recommended for heritage overlay.  Anyway, all proposals are going on public display, so you will get a chance to have your say.  Owners of individual properties that are affected will receive individual notices.  The ‘flat bit’ study is not yet complete.  The C190 study is complete and if you want to get right into it, go here:
