Activity ENVIRONMENTAL INFRASTRUCTURE SUBMISSION

The Kensington Association prepared this submission in response to an inquiry set up by the Environmental and Planning Committee (EPC) of the Victorian Legislative Assembly into the securing of environmental infrastructure, in particular public open space. The mere fact that the EPC is holding this inquiry is in itself heartening; it indicates that the Committee is well aware of the comprehensive research into the very strong community benefit from quality Public Open Space. As a consequence this submission will not preach to the converted, it will instead focus on the principle term of reference, namely, the ‘arrangements to secure environmental infrastructure’.
