Are there enough people willing to spare a few hours each month to keep the Association going? We sure hope so as community representation on the important issues for the Kensington would be virtually impossible otherwise. An incorporated body can also apply to use unwanted VicTrack land for a pop-up community garden, for instance, and undertake many other new initiatives for the community. We are hoping for a quick election to fill the missing positions and then eat, drink, and (hopefully) planning for a great year ahead. Subcommittees: Flemington Life Action Group, Western Distributor, Metro rail tunnel & NEW Community Garden, Arden Precinct, and C221 (for Kensington Road). And casuall helpers for the newsletter, website, letterboxing and info stalls. . You have been meaning to do something for a while now – this is when! |
